Hi:

It's Wednesday and here's yet another recipe for you. Have you tried any of our recipes yet? You can email me with your results, comments or a recipe contribution at pclark@reporters.net.

Here's today's recipe:

Strawberry Pretzel Bars

(Jennifer Pleskina)

Crust
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 1/4 cups crushed pretzels (but not too fine, you want some chunks ~ broken)

Filling
2 - 8oz package cream cheese
3/4 cup white sugar

Topping
1 large package strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
3 cups berries

Mix the margarine, brown sugar and pretzels together for the crust. Press
into a 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Blend together cream cheese (whip it) and the sugar. Spread over cooled
crust.
Dissolve the jello in 2 cups of boiling water, stir in strawberries. Chill
just until it begins to set. Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese
mixture.

Jennifer says: “Chill. Cut into squares and serve...or just eat it out of the pan!”

Till next time,

Pollie
