Good Morning:

It's Tuesday and the temperature is dropping! Too cold but it will look nice for the Holy Walk!

Here's today's recipe:

Apple Streusel Spice Cake

(Rhonda Stopes)

Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C)
Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch pan (3.5 L) cake pan

Empty 1 package of Spice Cake Mix 520g (if you prefer you can mix up your own spice cake recipe but it is much easier and cheaper to use a spice cake mix) into a large bowl.

Add:
½ cup applesauce
½ cup water
1/3-cup oil
3 eggs

Beat 4 minutes at medium-high speed of table mixer or high speed of portable mixer
Turn batter into prepared pan
Sprinkle with Streusel Topping.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool
Drizzle with White Glaze

Streusel Topping
3/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1-teaspoon cinnamon

White Glaze
3/4 cup sifted icing sugar
2 to 3 teaspoons milk

Rhonda says: “This is a recipe that I love...I bake it all year long.”

Have a good Tuesday.
